Three Successful Book Launches for our New Imprint – The Write Space

Recently PubliBook Ireland had teamed with The Write Space, Dundalk to bring a series of new services to our authors as well as expand our presence with permanent offices in Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Brenda Woods, the Managing Director of The Write Space has joined PubliBook Ireland as the Editorial Director responsible for our Editing team and our new Write-To-Publish workshops.

Brenda has also overviewed the successful launch of three of our Books in Co. Louth.

PawsPaws is our book dedicated to all those animals who need rescuing in this life. The ones who have nobody to care for them. Those who find shelter and love at the Louth SPCA. And for all who find their true Forever Homes.

Louth S.P.C.A. The Louth Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has been in existence for over 50 years and current inspector Fiona Squibb has been doing this job voluntarily for over 10 years.

The Louth S.P.C.A. offer advice and are always on the look-out for Forever Homes for their animals who are in fostering at their shelter in Dromiskin, Dundalk.

Linka-Mor. One woman’s life-journey… by Pia O’Brien

Launched on 18th November 2014 in the West Court Hotel, Drogheda, Co. Louth

Linka-MorThis is a story about a unique journey set in the small remote Baltic island of Fårø – a short distance from a larger island – Gotland, both belonging to Sweden.

Set in a time-frame, 1863-1923, it surrounds Linka-Mor’s remarkable life and the hardships endured by this resilient woman, along with the determination of a wider community.

The Author

Pia O’Brien grew up in Copenhagen in Denmark. Her mum was born in Gotland, an island in the Baltic belonging to Sweden and her dad was born in Aalborg, in the northern part of Denmark. In 1974 she leaves Denmark to Drogheda in Ireland where she meets her husband Paul. Pia has always had an interest in writing but it was only after a course in Creative Writing with Brenda Woods in 2011 that she started writing in earnest.

Fiona shares her own life affirmations, and unique poetic soul, which have helped steer her own life and many other people’s lives.
